Olia Lialina
Net artist,
critic, and curator Olia Lialina was born in Moscow in 1971. Lialina is
Professor of Networks and Online Environments
at the Merz Academie, Stuttgart, and founder of the online gallery
Art.Teleportacia and Net film branch of Net art. From 1995 -98 Lialina
served as director of the Cine Fantom film club and co-organizer of the
Cine Fantom Festival. She is author of a series of lectures entitled
History of Parallel Film and a contributing editor to many Russian Video
Art and Alternative Video compilations.
