CD ROM is not only another technology for RE:presentation and distribution
of works of art,
But is a new genre of digital art – CD ROM ART.
The program of the symposium includes presentation of CD ROMs as art
collections, CD ROMs as exhibition projects, as well as CD ROMs as
independent works of art. Among the latter, to be presented:
CTRL-SPACE – a total modification of ‘Quake1’ game by legendary
pioneers of Net-art JODI
Gender Media Art by the Dutch group AXIS
Chameleons 2 – an interactive performance by Chameleons Group, Great
Britain;
Apocalypses by Vadim Koshkin, etc.
